Hey,

Just thought i would share this with you all. My amber is now laying her eggs, so far there are about 8 good eggs, no slugs and I can see several more near her vent.

I have had the incubator ready and rolling for the past week or so since her pre-lay shed and the temps have stabalised nicely so once she has finished her work i will transfer the eggs to the egg boxes within the incubator.

I also have a gravid female amel motley who will lay in a week or so hopefully. Lots of hatchlings expeted in the next couple of months, yay :) Shame i have to wait so long to see their cute faces :)

Hope you enjoy :)

What are you expecting this year?

hehe dont worry, the time will pass quicker than you think although I find this time of year torturous! The incubation stage is even more frustrating, keep checking the egg boxes for those pips!!

I have another cluth expected in a week so thats also quite exciting. I love Ambers but with this pair there are no hets so all hatclings will be Amber, with my other clutch I am expecting all sorts due to the hets and ph hets of the parents, cant wait for them to hatch although I should probably wait for the eggs to be laid before i get too excited about hatchlings!

Thanks for looking guys, glad you like the pic.

Cheers

Oh and an update on this clutch.

The female hung on to the last few eggs for the best part of the day, she has finally dropped the last 3 so there are a total of 13 good eggs, no slugs.

All eggs are now nice and warm in the incubator :)

Brilliant, good luck mate.

This girl seems to have lost a fair bit of weight now that she'd laid so need to weight her to make sure its just in the normal range. She took a mouse last night though so should pack the pounds back on with any luck.
