Hi Everyone,
I have three one year old snakes, Callisto, Io, and Europa, the latter being male and also quite weird. I know I'm going to have lots of questions when they are due to start breeding although the thought terrifies me as this is all so new to me. Well thanks to my snakes I've decided to study a degree in Zoology and I'm waiting to hear if I've got in!

Thanks everyone, I will post pictures when I get my technical head on -I'm too earthy and even forums get complicated for me.

Hi Tipsy, Welcome to our forum/group/collective of loons.
I'm assuming that as well as Zoology, you either have an interest in Frontier or Astronomy, particularly Jupiter and it's surrounding moons.
If you get another will that be called Ganymede? As that'll be the last of the 4 'Galilean' moons.
(oooh, look at me, got half an education AND i'm a nutter!!) |

Kehhler - Granmother has assumed the name Ganymede It was my sons choice of names. The male is amel-whatever-you-call-it so as Europa is covered in ice (apparently)thats where he got his name. Io is red and the moon turns itself inside out every 10,000 years as it is a huge ball of lava, and Callisto is brown, and her planets rocky! I thought they sounded like German porn stars but the boyslove the snakes name! |

| Ha ha...are you insinuating I have alot of pets???? Actually my son did move out a while ago and we rubbed our fingers together and quickly moved a couple of spawning tanks into his room......the little bugger came back 2 weeks later!!! |

Hey tipsy, I think the way you've named them is brilliant, I hadn't thought of that.
I never would've thought that up though.
The names are brilliant, and unusual. Like you said though if someone doesn't have much knowledge of Jupiter and it's moons, then they do sound like dodgy german porn names.
Although my large hamster is called 'Arctic' because he's cool.
