I've got a male on a diet that doesn't weigh that!
He's got issues - was fed chicks by previous owner. I've had him on a diet of one gerbil every 3/4 weeks for over a year now. I try to get him out for exercise as often as I can and he's lost a lot of the fat, but we're still working on it.
It dont seem to come off easilly once they've put it on!
feeding every 3-4 weks might be a little too long between feeds, his body is likely to hang onto the fat stores as it's a long time till his next meal. i still stand by fortnightly to keep his metabolism higher but with a smaller prey item.

woo-hoo, thanks GP, I now have a reading of 30.7 on my digi thermo!!! Must be like a little oven in there for her! Still have a damp hide in both ends and now she is favouring the heat but that could be cos she was fed last night - though I do admit she was not impressed at the smaller mouse!!! Will weigh her again on monday after she has been to toilet as she usually goes 3 days after a feed, usually in my shoe or slipper!
Have finally got temps sorted - reading an average of 30-31 degrees woohoo! Fed on friday but not impressed on the size of the mouse - it didnt even make a bulge lol! Will weigh regularly to make sure she keeps dropping weight Thanks for all advice and help Su x ps didnt realise other post was here my comp has been playing up!
