As some of you may know, six days ago I got two new females, well this morning I woke to a healthy clutch of 8 eggs and Skye, my snow corn wrapped around them keeping them warm.

It was such a suprise I spend a few hours making sure the eggs were okay and getting them incubated - I was late for school, heheh.

I am unsure of what colours to expect - but my dad will be contacting the person we bought her off to ask what males she has been in contact with and what colour they are, just to get an idea.

I'll be keeping an update of the eggs here and post photos and videos every so often - I may even set up a webcam for when they should be hatching so that you can view this :)

I'm quite sure they aren't, as they are pretty big and white.

We were told she is three years old and she is less than 2 and a half foot which is way to small to be breeding, but luckily she didn't get egg bound.

I said I'd get some of Skye - But I got one of the pair I've been trying to breed.

Snake love bite anyone? XD My mum shouted me saying the snakes were eating each other.

Twas just the simple mating bite (I hope)

Also - Could someone tell me what morphs I could expect from this mating?

Female is creamsicle no known hets.
Male is snow het anery.

I dont think snakes bite each other as a sign of love..If they were mine they would be seperated ASAP.

I've actually read something about this.
It's like lions, when the male bites the nape of the females neck to keep her from moving away or biting him.
I'm guessing the concept is pretty much the same.

Dibs on female snow? Alright then :)

I believe there is a slight chance of an aztec in Skyes' clutch - if there is one - dibs on that or not fussed?

Thats a great surprise, were you even aware that she was gravid when you bought her? The eggs look very healthy, good luck with the incubation :)

The 3/3/3 (years/grams/feet) rule is always good to use as a guide but it's not always necessary as you have shown. Iv'e read that the industry standard in the US for breeding used (20 odd years ago) to be more like 2/2/2.

Cant wait to see pics of the hatchlings

Nope. Not at all aware. The seller just told us that Moss (Other female) had had a clutch the year before.

Mhm, if it was my choice I wouldn't of let her breed until at least next year as she is really tiny.

Creamsicle is Amel Corn x Rat
Snow is Amel x Anery (therefore Snow het Anery is impossible)

As they both carry the Amel gene the offspring should all be Amel het Anery (with some Rat influence).
