hiya everyone. my bro has 2 snakes (a boy & a girl) & he has just found 2 eggs in the viv. i have just read a thread on hear that you have got to incubate the eggs yourself & i have tould him but he said he's gonna just leave them to see if it happens on its own! is there any chance it will? his friend tould him 2 just leave them. sounds to me like they dont know lol! oh yeah he also said hes not sure how long they have been there as he has only just noticed them.

Thanks

If he does leave them, they won't hatch. They need to be incubated.

It's strange that there is only two? Corns can lay up to 15. Is he sure she's not still laying? or is egg bound?

She may incubate them herself, but you have a better chance artificially. If moving the eggs do not turn them or make sudden movements or they will die.

Being stuck together is not unusual and not a problem, neither is them being sunken(although it may be too late for some of yours), it usually just means a lack of humidity and they may well be fine once you get it up to the proper levels.

Just make sure the snakes are separated now to give the female some time to recover or she may become gravid again too soon.

Doesn't the female get really protective over her eggs?

i hope them 2 snakes are not brother and sister, inbreeding is bad for any animal, can cause all sorts of deformetys in the offspring, you seen wrong turn and hills have eyes right? hahahahahaha

its a tough life for the wild snakies. he should have incubated all the eggs sometimes the sunken ones can still be fine, and if not no harm done by trying. as said above take out the male so the female can get some peace. don't want her to eat him now do you! lol
