Hi all,

This is my first post on here, thought I'd say Hi and ask a quick question on getting our first Corn Snake.

We currently have Beardies, while in the shop buying food the other day my daughter fell in love with a Corn Snake and were now being bombarded with questions on buying one. My wife has always wanted one so it'll be as much hers as my daughters. . . .my question is where to buy from? They are both doing searches on markings but want to have a look at a couple of places before commiting to one type over another. Can anyone suggest a shop with a good selection in we can have a look at? I was looking at a place in Sheffield which looks great, I live in Coventry so I guess anywhere within an hour and a half or so of Coventry would be ok . . . where's good?

Unfortunately i'm on a different end of the country to help, but I believe there are others near you.
Someone will probably be able to give you pointers on decent shops near you i'd imagine.

Visit a few places and you'll get a feel for whether they know their stuff or they just want a sale! I've visited a couple of shops that sell reptiles near me and I've walked out quicker than I went in.
Some places are just disgusting and should be condemned and should in no way be allowed to sell live animals.

Anyway, I'm sure someone will be along shortly with some recommendations for you.

hey sparky i live in rugby near coventry, i looked everywhere for my first snake ended up gettin it from the reptile shop in northampton worth a look i liked it there, but there is a new shop in rugby called elite reptiles just as u get off the motorway and they are pretty good
