hi this is my first post and i ve not had chance to introduce ourselves as yet.. im jamie and we have a 16 week old corn called barney.. she has been doing very well , thriving , but now she has escaped somehow last night !!
the lid is really tight on her tank so not sure how its happened .
we have looked everywhere we can think of ...under kitchen cupboards inside settee , everywhere.
we have set a bottle trap with a pinky in...hoping she is hungry.
another problem is we have a jack russell dog , could she have eaten her ??
is there anything else we could be doing ??
grateful for any ideas

sorry to here you've lost barney, have you checked absolutely everywhere in the viv? |
cornsnakes, ratsnakes, bullsnakes, boas and day geckos

Have you checked thoroughly in the viv? They can burrow under substrate, so if the lid was on tight she could still be in there perhaps?

ive had all the substrate out to change it ... no sign of her.. im just praying to god the dog hasnt had her .

Have you sprinkled flour over all doorways as well? Do this over night, and you'll see if she's gone into or out of a room.
Did you notice her missing when you changed the substrate? or was is slightly afterwards? Maybe go through the substrate that you threw out, just in case. |

| probably a stupid question, have you checked behind the viv? also she could have got up inside your fridge, or washing machine or anywhere like that that is dark..you may not have seen her as she is due to shed, so maybe she will turn up soon..dont give up on her, the corn snake i have now went missing for three months and turned up on someones driveway. |

| hi welcome to the forum our snake that we have escaped and we found it four days later climbing up some water pipes in our kitchen at 10 past 12 in the morning it had been hiding under a cabinet. we put flour in front of all the holes we thought it could of been. one thing i got told is they like fresh water, and i got told to get a piece of wood and put a bowl of water and put sand or flour around it |

| Barney came out from under the couch tonight about 10pm , could not beleive my eyes .....Not sure if i did the right thing ???? I gave her a pinkie within an hour , left her for another hour then put her back in her viv ... any advice would be great . THANKS TO THOSE WHO GAVE HINTS AND TIPS. |
