Just thought id pop in and say hello, im new to the forums, i don't own a corn snake yet im just gathering information as it were :)
Im thinking off getting a corn in the future(possibly in 3months) maybe sooner if the missus likes the idea. I've heard from a few people say that they are a relitivly easy pet to take care of, is this true?
I've been looking at a few pictures of the different morphs of cornsnakes and i really like this one http://iansvivarium.com/morphguide/whiteout.html but i don't really know anything about them, are differnt morphs harder to take care of than others or is it really just a visual thing? if they are harder to take care of could someone recommend a "begginer pet".
I have a little experiance with reptiles, i have a 10month old bearded dragon which i have had for nearly 6months.
Sorry, didn't mean to ramble on so much hehe. |

Welcome to the forum ^^
Corn snakes are very easy to look after, esp when you have this forum for reference ^^. They don't need suppliments or special lighting.
From what I've heard, white out corns are reletively new and therefore expensive. You tend to find that the harder to make or newer a morph is, the more it hurts your wallet. Morphs arn't really any more difficult to care for, although their has been a suggested link between non-feeding and heavily bred morphs. However if you buy your snake from a reliable dealer they will make sure they are feeding first.

Welcome to the forum Markus
Dead easy to take care of and colours don't make any difference to the care they need.
Ell is right though- whiteouts will be expensive. What about a snow corn? Similar, but a lot cheaper. |

Welcome to the site, You wont find people on here telling you a corn is a bad pet, we all love um. They are easy to take care of but as the others have said a whiteout will be super pricey and unless you plan to bread a bit pointless really. This white one in this pic is a snow, the Black/grey one is an anery and you can just see the orange head of my amel too. These are all fairly commen colours that wont break the bank but are still super pretty.

heya and welcome corns are great for getting into keeping snakes. they're generally good feeders, don't get too big, handleable, don't need UV or humidity and can be acquired quite cheaply (depending on the morph).................. maybe not a whiteout though! |
