hi guys me again,
just ordered my new viv 36x18x18 all glass with front slidind doors, VERY EXCITED!!! and am looking for ideas of heating it. been advised to use a heat mat and a lamp both at one end of the viv. was wondering wot type of thermostat if any you recomend.and any other ideas would be greatly appreciated. cheers.

just a heat mat would be fine, don`t realy need a lamp

I agree. I use a heat mat attached to a Thermostat matstat and that works fine. I use a low watt (9W) bulb for viewing only, it does not emit much heat and I rarely turn it on.
You need a mat that covers 1/3 of the tank floor and a thermostat to prevent over heating and maintenance of the optimum temperature.
