I notice that a lot of these pics (possibly all of them) show you guys feeding in a seperate enclosure... is this the best choice? Ramesses seems to do well feeding in his viv then he can slither off to his basking spot or hide... maybe you guys know something i don't...

alot prefer to feed out of the viv to prevent subtrate being swollowed and the snake wont expect to be fed every time the door is opened and mistake your hand for food.

But lovely tasty looking fingers could make a difference.
My sid used to always get fed in her viv by her previous owners and i had a hell of a time stopping her striking for me when i went to get her out.
have a look at this vid i uploaded last year: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5vLiAn674js

he seems to be alright so far, never been the slightest bit aggressive, but i handle him every day (except for 48hrs after he has eaten)... if you experts reckon i should use a seperate tub then thats what ill do tho...

quick follow on question? do you put the mouse in first, then the snake or is it the other way around?

I always put my snake in the feeding tub first.. so then when she's in i can dangle the pinkie over her with the tongues
