Im Joe im 16, getting my first corn snake in about a week or so. Just registered to this forum to get a good idea of what im in for haha.
I am payin £99 for a 08 snow corn snake, a 2ft viv and everything I should need to keep him. Am I getting ripped off or is this ok? Iv only ever had a dog as a pet so this is all completely new to me. Cant wait to get him though they look like brilliant pets.
Any tips for a beginner welcome haha.
Cheers

We paid £100 for corn snake, viv, bag of floor substrate to use, water bowl, plastic bush, log hide and a heat mat...just to compare what you get included for almost the same price. I have no idea if that is any good or not though!
Ask if you can get a thermostat included (probably won't for that price though) as they're important with a pet snake, and a thermometer too (the pet shop we went to said we didn't even need a thermometer, when you actually do! )

heya and welcome tips for beginners would be to research as much as possible, buy from a reputable source (breeder/petshop) and have back up for any queries (the vendor or thecornsnake.co.uk )
minimum requirements that your set-up should include is: viv/faunarium (obviously!) of an appropriate size for the snake appropriate lock if it's not an integral part of the viv heatmat or bulb and guard thermostat substrate 2 hides 1 water bowl thermometer
you can find advice on setting all the equipment up on here |

snows are nice (i have a CB01 male) if ALL the necessary equipment is included (some naughty shops DON'T include a stat!) it's not a bad deal from a shop |
