Depends on age really under a year they shouldn't really be kept together at all, after that it's a touchy subject and everyone has there own opionion, (I Keep my corns together but others would never dream of it)if they are 2 boys then it's ok or 2 girls but if you mix sexes you have the chance of inbreading and no one wants a snake with 6 toes really.

3.2.0 corns 0.3.1 Leopard Geckos, 0.1.0 Mad Staffys 1.0.0 Moggie. 1.2.0. Devils in training.

Too right Tizzy

I don't keep my corns together, although some do without issues, but it does really depend on the sex, size and age of the corns. You'll have to let us know what they are like.

i cohabit my unrelated adult corns, but brother and sister i'd say that was a definite no-no at any time!

Hi and welcome.

I agree with Gingerpony, brother and sister snakes is asking for trouble.
If they were to ever breed, you'd end up with defects. which could be detrimental to the snakes health.

If its the offspring of in-bred brother and sisters then you most definantly don't want them to breed.
If they are brother and sister then housing them together is a bad idea as the female will most likely get pregnant before her time which can lead to all sorts of complications, including usually the death of the female.

If anything I would at least recommend getting two of the same sex and if you do want to breed, advertise to "borrow" someone elses cornsnake for the breeding.

Also, welcome to the forum ^^

So they are inbred babies already? If they are differant sex's housing them together is out of the question from day one.

just got them. one albino orange and the other i think is a carolina brown. also found out that their parents weren't brother and sister so no worries on these being inbred babies:) will post some pics as soon as they settle in. also, i know this has prbably been asked many times before, on the handling side how long is the usual settle in period?

like matty says, give them a week to settle in, then i'd probably give them a feed, leave them to digest their meal for 48 hours then start handling them. it feels like forever but it's a lot less stress for the snake if you can wait

thanks for all your advice. i fed them both sunday and hav been handling them most of the day(on and off) and everthing seems fine, no signs of them interested in biting or anything. they are a bit jumping wen getting them out but as soon as they're out they settle down quickly and dont seem to mind it.
