Cause I know you all love Tarantulas
So lets start with the smaller Ts.
Acanthoscurria geniculata - Giant White Knee This guy is getting a nice size to him now, and also a nice little attitude. Feeding like a machine, I swear this guy actually leaped onto a locust the other day (and i mean leaped)
Brachypelma albopilosum - Curly Hair This one has molted sinse I last posted photos. Looking real nice now, and definatly seeing why they're called 'Curly Hairs' now. Feeding well and growing nicely. Also has a nice temperament, very calm when changing water etc.
Brachypelma emilia - Red Leg Hasn't molted sinse ive had it, but definatly looking forward to seeing how it will look after a molt. Again, great feeder and really active. Still love the look of these.
Avicularia avicularia - Pink Toe This T is really growing on me. Can be slightly 'boring' as it is always hiding in the corner of the faunarium, but that just makes it extra special when s/he does decide to go for a wander. Yet to see this one actually catch any food, only seen it whilst eating. Must be a shy feeder lol Something I do love about this T is that although it hides alot, as soon as you give the tank a spray, wait a few minutes and s/he will be out, walking round the tub drinking from the sides. Also getting quite a nice size now.
Crappy pic, but this is what i mean when i say s/he comes out after a spray.
Brachypelma smithi - Red Knee Still being a great T, always out on display looking sweeeet
Grammostola aureostriata - Chaco Golden Knee This old man is still plodding along lol Still quite active but starting to look a bit shabby now. Been a Mature Male for over a year, I have the exact date he molted written down...But cant find where :ermm:

Awesome pics as ever BTD, do you mind me asking what camera? Is it a DSLR?
Have you got any photo's of them eating? I've never seen a T or any other spider eat. |

I used to handle the Red Knee a lot. And held the Chaco once. Dont hold any of them now.
Thats a shame about your housemates male. Although it is pretty interesting having a male, mine became really active when he matured, poor guy wants a female. |

Just dont think its worth it. I dont really believe you can 'tame' a tarantula. And they're so fradgile I dont like to risk them being injured or even killed. |
