If its young then popping, if its older then probing. Both need doing by experienced people and are usually offered at your local reptile place.
To hazard a guess at sex you can do a scale count however its not accurate.
Take a look here for more info: http://www.cornsnake.co.uk/Sexing.htm And for info on tail scale counts have a look here: http://www.thecornsnake.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1851

Lots of debates on that issue. May be worth having a read through this thread: http://www.thecornsnake.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1070 |

Just thought i would get in on this conversation and add my opinion.
I am studying an animal management course at college, and we have 4 resident corn snakes in our animal unit. In 3 vivs. 2 seperate males, and one male (infertile) and female in the same viv. The female is a few years older and a little bigger than our male, and we have no problems, no fights, no accidentaly biting eachotehr, and both snakes have very good temperments. |

don't co-habit until both snakes are at least a year old as you could end up with just one snake - they can be cannibalistic! and do read the whole of the co-habiting thread to make an informed decision |

Yep just to back GP really - Many people co-habit without a problem (including myself) but please read the entire co-habiting thread and everything else you possibly can, If it all goes wrong your the one who has to live with your decision. And don't co-habit babies that just daft. |

Nice pic BE :s
As for your corns at the college Dean, it's most likey because the infertile male does not smell like a male anymore and hasn't got the testosterone which is linked to aggression. |
