First off, Hi and welcome to the forum.
This is actually normal.
After going 'blue-eye' they tend to clear up and look fine again. You'll find that he/she will shed in a a day or 2(ish). when she does, if it's in bits check to make sure that the eye caps and tail skin has come off. Unless you get a complete shed. But still give snakie a check over.
Whoever it was that said your snake was having trouble is either: a) not completely competent themselves, or; b) assumes that the snake went blue-eye ages ago and hasn't shed.
If you're concerned about shedding, then a 5 min lukewarm 2 inch deep bath will help.
Hope this helps. Any other questions, just ask.
Out of curiosity, how long is it? do you know the sex? and any other standard questions to go with.
You'll find us all a helpful happy bunch here, and half the time we banter about odds n sods as well as snakes. There always seems to be someone online to respond fairly quickly as well, so be prepared for quick responses sometimes.
Also, to be a member here, we want piccys!!!!!! |

Another young snake, sound like only about a year old, but i haven't had baby snakes for about 10 years, so i'm probably wrong. Anyways, what are you doing up at 2am?
Or is it the 'new toy so I'll play with it for hours' syndrome? I've got an excuse for being up this late.
Quick edit, in regards the name. How about 'Priya'? |

As much as i'd love you to stick with Priya (I was gonna be called it if i was a girl) have a look about and think of names, then come back to it and pick it. From recollection, Willow was a dwarf that lived in a forest.
Mums always seem to have this thing about snakes, usually starts with 'keep it away from me', then ends with 'Me and snake had a lovely time today crawling around my head/neck/hair just before i fed her'. My Kelloggs started off pink, they don't stay like that for long. Kelloggs is the white coloured one in my sig. He eats like a horse, and loves nothing better than pooing in the water bowl. You don't read about that part of snakes often.
I'm off to bed now anyways, I've enjoyed a few to many drinks this evening and I have to get up in less than 5 hours. Goodnight, and hopefully you'll have piccys up soon. |

Another good tip for making sure that you get a complete shed of skin is to buy a humidifier checker. You need to make sure that the humidy in your vivarium statys in the green section about 75 - 80. It is nothing fancy just a little disc that sits in the tank more of a visual aid than anything fancy it cost about £5.00. I have one for my temerature guage and also one for the humidity.
If you are not getting a complete shed each time then your tank is not being kept at the right humidity |

12-13" long sounds like one of this years hatchlings to me, my 3 yearlings are all around the 2'6" to 3' mark and a humidity checker is also known as a hygrometer 70-80% is a little too humid for corns and they can end up with RI's (respiratory infections) 50% is more natural for them, even my Royal is only around the 65% mark |

Probably not, most snakes seem to have this inbuilt 'no-one-is-watching-me-so-I'll-do-it-now' detector. |
