Hi, we own two corn snakes(a male and a female) both around 6 foot in length and are looking for a healthy lavender female corn snake of a safe size to add to their vivarium. If you have one of know of one please inform us. Thanks |

First off, i'd recommend having a read through this thread, then deciding if adding another snake into a already settled viv would be ideal. http://www.thecornsnake.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1070
It's not likely (in my opinion) that you'd have much luck in finding a lavender female corn near that size as well. |

Point taken, we're looking for another female rather than another male and we feed them seperately, plus our viv is aprox 6 foot long by 2 foot deep and a meter high with lots of hiding places, planting and branches. Also they're both about 6 foot in length. Like I said point taken and it does concern me but we've asked advice about doing this from our local reptile and exotic pet sellers and they have told us aslong as they're of similar size and correctly introduced there should not be a problem. Thanks for your advice though, it's always welcome. And to be honest I don't think we're gonna have any luck finding one either, but one can only try. Thanks again. |

You could try Preloved.
I think co-habiting is alright as long as you are prepared for if things go wrong. If the new snake didn't get along with your other two, then you'll have to rehouse it in a viv on it's own. If you prepared to do that, then you can always give it a go.
I think that's why most people would advise against it. Concern for the new snake if it didn't fit in. |
