It depends how far your travelling?
I have transported them in r.u.bs and in a bag tied at the top, but I wouldn't do that for jouneys over an hour.
You'll need someone to go with you too. To hold on to the r.u.b or bag. If they sit with the snake box on their knee then at least the snake might benefit from a bit of body heat, as well as having a steady ride.
Just be careful with putting heating on in the car, with the intention of putting the snake near the vent to keep warm. I've heard a few stories of people doing this and the snake has died. Dogs die in hot cars, so you'll have to believe snakes will too. |

ive to transport my corn from Leeds to Nottingham via car and put her in a plastic container with air holes and kitchen role in the bottom. I also keep her on my lap as the container could easily slide around the car and definatly DONT put them in the boot of the car as one guy i know did |

when I took Spruce to the vets I put him in a pillow case secured with a cable tie, just had to make sure I took another one with me to secure it for the journey back as you can only use them once |

I use my plastic tubs for transporting, I have a pillow case lined inside, and just put the snake in the tub, the lid just click on into place. I then move the car seat forwards, so it jams it in the passeger footwell. I find that handy, because when I had to do a 6 hour drive last year, i could add gentle heat into the footwell. |

Transporting them in the viv can be done, When I moved house last year my fish tank spent about 2 hours in the car before moving, then about an hour drive, then didn't come out of the car until about 10pm. it was put in the car at about 8am. Me and my mate lifted the entire board from under it, and struggled with it into the car, The power came from a 300w power invertor, gave it enough to run the heater, and the air pump off the car battery. So if it's long journeys, a power invertor could help as well, keep the heat mat on at least. |
