Just thought I'd share this with you all.
After a few weeks of cornflake being shy, I noticed him having a staring competition with the pet cat! I was keen to make the most of him being out of his hide, and seeing as today was dinner day I tried something new.....Once the mouse was defrosted and warmed slightly, I put it on top of the viv so the scent would drift inside and get the little fella exploring and hunting. In no time, the little fella was mooching about and trying to find a way to get to his dinner. Once I took him out to feed him, he was like a thing possessed. He grabbed the mouse in the middle and tore a big chunk out of it!! He then calmly finished of the rest of the mouse, despite its innards hanging out. I know it sounds a bit gruesome, but cornflake really seemed to enjoy it.

In doors i have an arborial viv (3 ft wide X 15 inches deep X 4 ft high) it has a shelf near the top, i always put the food up on the shelf just to give the corn some excersise. Doesnt take him long to realise there is food about and make a hasty climb to the top of the viv.
