hello you lot- I promised GP I would get some pictures up of the corn we picked up last week. Very flighty, scared snake that's not used to being handled and may have a possible respiratory infection which we are monitoring.
Here she is:
Has anyone got any idea of morph? We were told carolina, but are swaying more towards caramel. Just because on a lot of her body, there is hardly or no black on the saddles at all. What do you think?
Plus we aren't sure if she has some rat snake in her? Does the shape of her head look ratty to you? |

she does look good...head does look long but not to sure.
i would say no to caramel from wot ive looked at, an edge towards maybe a hypo morph, due to the lack of black. but she may just be a unusual normal. |

Hi all... and pardon my ignorance, but did I read somewhere that corns were originally called rosy rat snakes??...
Lovely looking snake by the way - head shape and body thickness seems to quite resemble our corn Tango that some people on here commented on size for age - do these snakes cross breed?? Thanks.. J |

rosy rats were considered a completey different sub-species but have now been lumped in with pantherophis guttata (cornsnakes) the rosy ratsnake is also called an 'upper keys corsnake' i believe. |

Although i will say, in the pic where she is eating the mouse... Evil eyes! I bet she could give Nagini a run for her money |
