Dumerils boas are listed on Appendix 1 of CITES (Convention of International Trade in Exotic Animals) - they're an endangered species in their native country of Madagascar, Appendix 1 means their population is critically low. ALL Dumerils must have paperwork proving they're captive bred not wild caught (illegal). to sell a Dumerils in the UK, as there are few variations in colour and markings to identify the individual the paperwork relates to, they MUST be microchipped. chipping is usually done between 1-2 years of age. |

I never thought you could microchip a snake, not enough 'loose skin'?
Thanks GP, learn something new everyday |

only one covered by CITES, Dumerils, possibly Jamaican boas, Malagasy ground boas....... can't think of any others
EmmaApple - i really don't like the thought of chipping snakes, there's NOT enough loose skin! but it's done subcutaneously on the left side 'nape of neck' - where the hell is a snake's nape?? |

just PM'd the seller (on the dark side) for more info and start haggling on price, will keep you posted, he's a year or so younger than i'd like but it's not the end of the world putting breeding plans back. |

no no joy was sounding very promising but i've struggled to get onto the dark side for some reason today, page wouldn't load, not even from recent history, then when i have got on it's frozen, tried 3 times to PM the seller but it freezes and won't send my messages. i've switched the computer off and on again, cleared cookies............... i'm at a loss what to try next short of popping round to my sister's and trying her computer. i'm well p**sed off *cries* |

Is your computer running through your router or your modem? Try turning which ever one it is off (unplugg the cable) leave it for 5 mins, plug it back in, leave it again, then try the dark side. |
