I fed my corn at about 14.00 this afternoon ( a fluff) he took it within 10 mins. i have left him alone all day and this evening so is it ok to handle him even though theres still a bulge in his mid-section. I dont want to upset him or make him sick.

It's not good to handle a snake until about 2 days after feeding, otherwise it can cause a regurgitation.
Which in turn can cause other problems.

So unfortunately the answer is no, don't handle until at least 2 days after feeding.
Obviously to gently pick it up to return to the viv after feeding (assuming you feed outside the viv) is ok, but nothing else.

Im going to answer my Q (or attempt to). I am going to leave him for 36 hrs before i handle him. Some will agree, some will say wait longer and some will say handle him when the lump has gone.
I cheated and read some other peoples answers on another forum. People generally advise you to wait 24-48 hrs after feeding your corn before you handle him/her. Oh and by the way, i called him Murphy.

Thankyou! I was almost right. I shall leave him be. Thanks again.

You're right that some people say 24 hours, but you'll find the vast majority agree that 48 hours is the safe period.

I agree with Kehhlyr and BE, 48 hrs should be the time period you use

i have handled 24 hours after a feed, but not if there's still a bulge from the prey item. i never had any problems but rather than take ANY risks i leave 48 hours now.
regurgitating is not nice for the snake (and it absolutely stinks!) and it takes them some time to get back to normal afterwards.
