last night i was about to change scales's water and he was not there i looked every were couldnot find him i pulled every thing out still could not find him so put some rat pups out and left them there over night but then when i woke up this morning i seen his head poking out of my speaker im so relived i still cant work out how he got out though also he now has some torn scales should i remove them or weight for them to come of naturly?


cb07 - male - corn snake
cb07 - male - red tailed boa
cb06 - female - salmon pink tarantula
wc - male-female - asian forest scorpions
indian stick insects
2 african land snails

soon to be mine-
4 red bellied toads or a emperor scorpion cant decide :P

Your lucky to find him so quick

I'd leave the scales to come off naturally, because you might do more damage if you try to intervene. They should come off in the next shed anyway.

There buggars for finding the smallest gap that you wouldnt think was possible for them to escape out of. If you dont mind me asking, How old is he/she and what do you keep it in?

If its just lifted scales then it should resolve itself in the next shed or 2. if its more of a wound then i would treat it with something and switching to Papertowel/newspaper untill its cleared up will help avoid infection. Hope that helps

he is one year and 2 mnths i keep him in a 2 ft by 2.5 ft viv

I reckon the Prime culprit would be between the glass. If you get stuck i can recommend Really useful boxes from argos £5 - £10 and escape proof!
