I filmed my feeding today. I tried to show my view with the camera while feeding but inevitably the filming was off centre Anyway, the aim was to show you how i go about feeding Henry.

Things that i couldnt show was me changing the water. I always do it before a feed or i know i will get tagged. I also put the light on in the viv so i can see her better (its not always on). Finaly i use a coat hanger to get her back in the viv so she cant bite me.

(Yes i did jump when she missed the first strike, further increasing my status as a wimp! in my defence i was watching it through a screen so i thought my reactions would be delayed!)

Edit - I forgot to add, i normaly let her hunt it for a few mins but because of holding the camera, i didnt want to get tagged on film

If Henry freaks you out that much in the feeding department why not get feeding tongs? Greatly reduced risk of tagging, no?

...On the assumption she does actually go for the mouse and not you, of course.. lol

I use my hands for the excitement . Theres no fun in feeding a snake from a distance. shes only a small snake anyway.
