Feeding was amazing! The little guy wolfed down two pinkies before slithering off under the substrate to digest over the heat mat.Now I have to leave him alone for a couple of days... its soooo hard...

He's awesome. And I've managed to convince my other half that I should get a female so we can make eggies in the future So now I'm saving up for snakey number two!

I know, they're such an evil temptation to resist! They are rediculously cute as babies. I need a couple more so I can feed them on rotation and then always be able to handle at least one lol!

Eep! Don't encourage me! I'm on my way to buying two more in a few weeks! I curiously emailed someone and ended up finding out about their new (unadvertised) 2008 hatchlings.. not sure where the emails are going.. possibly to two more babies in my flat.. lol I've been hunting frantically for equipment this evening and budgeting for more RUBS, mats, stats etc Good thing I have a freezer full of pinkies!

Fun this evening included making yogurt pot hides for Sirius. He was hiding under the substrate near his water bowl so I figured his main hide was way too big for him as he couldn't touch all the sides. Two mullers later and he has two new hides!

Gorgeous snake, we just picked up this from ebay, thought it was really reasonable, cheaper than the rep shows, and definately cheaper than buying two.

Oooh cheers Peanuts, I've been looking for a cheaper one of those.. though I have considered just getting a large heat strip with a simple on/off stat like th one I have.. though I've discovered a small problem with that already :S It seems the temperature inside the viv drops quicker than outside where the probe is, so I need to reinstall the probe inside the viv which I will do tonight if Sirius obliges he still seems a bit bulgy from his feed and if he's still like that tonight I might give him another day to digest just in case.. though he did eat a SHEDLOAD for a creature that small..
