I collected my new corn snake yesterday. She is a 15 month old anerythristic aztec. Completely skittish and hissy, but I am sure she will settle down nicely with regular handling. She is quite loopy in her viv, spending almost every moment exploring any possible means of exit! 
I have named her Chico after Chicomecoatl. Who the hell is that you may ask?! 
Well...Chicomecoatl was an Aztec serpent goddess of maize (corn) and nourishment. She was one of the most ancient and important Aztec gods in the Valley of Mexico. She was the consort of the corn god Centeotl. Her name translates as "seven serpents". The seven in her name infers good luck and generative powers.
As my snake is a corn snake with aztec markings and was born on 7/7/7 this seems to be the perfect name for her
