Ah cool. In the reptile centre, the Burmese is 3 and is already 15ft.
Could be because of it's diet or?

The rate of growth is obviously due to feeding, and i feed mine to feed him, not fatten him.
They can grow 10 feet in the first year if fed twice a week or fattened every week with one big feed. I feed mine when he looks for it and is hungry, not because i want to make a statement by keeping a Big Snake. When i open his feeding door, if he comes towards me, i know he is hungry as that is the side his food goes in. I can also read his movements and just know.
It does no harm to slow their growth rate or metabolism, as long as he is healthy and he goes for regular check ups too.
An average male burm in captivity, unless fed for breeding or showing, will only be about 12-13 feet on a good average.
Mine is also male, which grow shorter than females.
You can power feed any snake, but that can lead to health problems and shorten their life, and they`re not likely to be bullied for being a fatty
Its nice aswell, because he is still a good size to be handled by me, or both my younger kids, instead of the one handler to every three foot rule, but he still will grow.
Sorry this is long, just clearing it up
Hope it makes sense.

Yeah. I'm not saying the typical "UR SNAKE IS RUBBISH CUZ DERS IS BIGGAR" as some would say. It was just a general post.
They do feed him large meals and he is fat. But he seems in perfect health. I guess it depends on the snake.
