Think you can buy CO2 canisters online, but I would get advice or read up on it if I were you, I know it has to be done slowly so that they do just fall asleep through a gradual reduction in Oxygen. Too fast and it isn't humane. |

Don't put them in the freezer! - Common misconception that that is humane. |

Rodent Reaper, like it. Just uses vinegar and Sodium Bicarbonate, sounds good. |

To kill a pinky mouse, hold it in your left hand by its back legs so its hanging upside down. Move it so its faceing to your left and flick it in the back of the head with your right hand. This is a quick and easy death. No mess. Its very humane and quick.
For adult mice: Hold the mouse by its tail and put it on a flat surface on its front (as if it were walking). Hold its still by its tail and put a pencil/finger behind on its neck. Push down with your pencil/finger and give its tail a hard pull. You will hear a crack. The mouse will die instantly. It might twitch but that will only be nerves. If you are unsure than its has died, give it a flick on the back of the head like you would do to a pinky mouse.

No, they suffer a horrible death in the freezer, the only reason people do it is because they can close the door and forget about it! |

I know how you feel I couldn't do it, don't freeze them though, i'd personally go with the link dan posted, it's in two steps so the first lot will be like an anesthetic, i think this is by far the most humane way. |

We use CO2 gas at the uni for adult mice.
However freezing is only humane for pinkies (explanation to do with under-developed nervouse systems, brown adipose tissue etc) I'm not saying that it would be a humane way for more advanced mice due to the ice crystal formation and the shivering reflex. |

I'd just drop kick them to be honest. Could get gory. Or make a mice smoothie. >:D
You'd need a blender... |
