Hi People. I bought Slinky (great plains ratsnake) home on 6th sept since then He has not has a feed. He has just finished shedding on Tuesday which is why I thought He didnt want any grub before. but his appetite has not returned as I expected. I have tried numerous diferent ways of feeding him ie warming up mouse, braining mouse. He was a good feeder at the shop.

His Viv set up is fine, warm end 30'c, hides in both ends fresh water every day etc.

This has bedazzled me, from all the other non feeders.
Does he have any other skin attached to him from the shed? That might be causing stress or his enviroment he might not be happy with. Ask the shop if you're unsure.

How old is Slinky? - Are you monitoring his weight?

Also, have you asked how the shop fed him?
If he was fed in a little rub, he may only be used to that, or if he was drop fed or had the food left in the viv overnight.
There's a lot of variables that need to be looked at as well.
Hopefully he'll chill a bit more and have some food.

Have you tried with Ketchup, that always makes mine eat.*

through trial and error I've worked out some prefer just white mice, other prefer dark mice, some prefer to be fed in the morning or evening in particular, other don't care - afterall, it's FOOD!
when you find something that works write everything down so you can try and replicate it next time. like Josh suggested - ask the shop where you bought him from what they did at feed times, but chances are he was fed in his viv and the mouse was just thrown in a left till he ate it.
also how are you defrosting the prey item?

Slinky is just over 1 year old, his shed was complete no skin left on. unfortunatlly I have not been monitoring his weight.
When he was in the shop he was in a little box as he is only a yearling. now he is in a 3ft Viv. He is just under 3ft in length.

It may just be the culture shock then of moving from a small RUB to a 3' viv, I'd suggest either trying him in something smaller or really packing out the viv so that its nice and enclosed. For instance I have just moved a snake into a 3' viv and it has 4 hides plus a couple of large plants and a large piece of bark for him to hide under.
