No that should be fine- Wilbur was in a 1 ltr and we were told to move him down and it didn't make any difference. Now he's in a normal sized terrainium and is eating well.
Think that's just right for little Hogtanian |

Lewy says you said Hogtanian has missed 6 feeds in a row- Wilbur missed 7 before he ate again.
It'll be interesting to see if he starts eating at the same time, especially since they both ate their first feed with us straight away and then went off food. Maybe it's a hoggie thing? |

Kaz or any one else. i'd really like your advice, hogtanian has now gone exactly a month without feeding, he's stopped his little hissy fits at the pinkies and is getting really little. He's in with a pinky at the moment but if he doesn't eat it a woman has offered to show me how to assist feed him and I am thinking about taking him tomorrow. I really don't want to stress him out, but i don't want to risk losing him. Any ideas. |

Have you put him in the dark with the pinky?
Wilbur will still only eat if no one is watching.
You can try trying to feed him with a mouse tail, but when we tried this he just wouldn't open his mouth.
If your sure this lady knows what she's doing, I'd try it before losing him. Just eating once might get him back into the swing of it. |

Mine has just eaten again after 3 missed feeds. I put him in a really small, dark tub and leave him. Well for 3 weeks he just hissed and puffed up, ignoring the pinkie completely. Well this week i fished out the biggest pinkie i could find, almost fuzzie size. I put him in his tub and left him, came back in a few mins and he'd eaten it.
Good Luck :) |

I guess what im trying to say is, perhaps offer a slighlty larger food item, if he could handle it of course. |

Tried him in a small tub in the dark, tried him in the dark in the daytime and in the dark at night time, tried it brained, in half, scented with pilchard, tuna, and cod liver oil. I've got one last resort, i'm going to leave him 5 days and them put it in a tube in his actual house... i know there's aspen in his house but i think putting it in the tube will protect him from accidently ingesting any. if that doesn't work then he will have to go to the rep shop to try assist as i am not going to risk losing him, thanks for the advice guys. |

Couldn't you get hold of any frogs legs? Try deli counter ones if they don't do them in your local rep shop.
Toads make up 50% of their diet in the wild so the scent of that might work better than fish. |
