 the sound on my laptop has gone ive tryed the volume button on my laptop and the mute and unmute thing nothing works ive tryed looking for help on the internet but norhing worked could anyone help me please
btw my laptop is an advent k1501 vista home premium if that helps |

I'm not sure with Laptops, if it was a desktop I'd say try a new sound-card, but its not so easy with laptops.
If you plug headphones or speakers into the jack can you hear anything? |

| go to control panel then hardware and sounds check if the speakers are turned on there, if that doesnt work close all programs using volume and any that are booted up when power is turned on, and restart. i had this prob a while back and i found it to be to many programs trying to use the speackers and therefor the signal could not get thru |

| urm sounds to me not sure tho some1 else might no better but to me if ur system is saying it all fine it sounds like it could be a bad conection or if it has hi-def speakers the amp is some how overloading!!! |

| same as my system. just had a deeper look, urm i am old skool and not the worlds best with computers but, go to control panel classic view, device manager, sound video and game controllers expand it and open realtek and try to update the drive. |
