reptiledanny Posted - 13/12/2009 : 11:58:21
true ye, so you could, nice. i get it. thats just the rule. but they all have to be there. you can't have a snake that is 2 years old but 300g+ and 3ft+ can you and breed him.
eeji Posted - 13/12/2009 : 10:08:55
don't forget that all corns grow at differing rates ;)
reptiledanny Posted - 13/12/2009 : 08:04:14
ok. have you ever seen a corn so small that is 3 years old and 300g.it would have to be muscley corn to be 3ft and 300 g. maybe fat corn.
gingerpony Posted - 12/12/2009 : 22:15:14
it is a MINIMUM requirement...........
reptiledanny Posted - 11/12/2009 : 18:00:14
oh ye i now that i wasn't guna breed him til atleast 3 years old. but i was just sayin 3 ft a bit small for a 3 year old corn that is 300g.

Agree with GP
gingerpony Posted - 10/12/2009 : 14:09:18
but it wasn't 3 years old or 300g.............so it wasn't at the recommended minimum requirements..........so too small to breed..........
reptiledanny Posted - 10/12/2009 : 13:54:08
3ft seems a bit small as corns can easily reach that. i have a 1.5 year old corn that 30 inches, he has escapes and i was just about to move him onto hoppers but anyway he was 30 inches and 1 year old.
gingerpony Posted - 10/12/2009 : 13:22:05
yes 300g, 3 years old and 3ft long as a safe MINIMUM.......
reptiledanny Posted - 10/12/2009 : 10:55:36
wAt is the 3 rule, 3 years, 300 grams and wats the other one. is it 3 ft. i think thats a but small so i didn't think that was it but wats the 3rd rule.

no i wasn't thinking of breeeding any time soon. i am hoping to get anither male and then a female so wanted to get ready. i found a male butter that i really like and wanted to know wat i would need to get butter babies. i want to get them as babies and know the 3 rule. 3 years, 300 grams and wat is the other 3? just wanted to know wat female to get. i wanted an amel stripe but wanted to know wat het it should be. het caramel. not any plans of breeing until 3 years time.

R Danny i would just consentrate of what youve got your only young breeding corns isnt easy it takes alot of work though i gateher you are comitited to your love of snakes but mind the age rule 3yrs 3oograms dont fall into the trap that i did though the snakes are okay do all your reaserch first.
eeji Posted - 08/12/2009 : 22:41:47
you'd need any of these:

Butter
Amel het caramel
Caramel het amel

if you go for the butter, then you'll get ALL butter babies, and either of the other 2 then each egg has a 50% chance of hatching out as butter

mods, can you move this too the breeding section as i think it belongs there?

Butter isn't a morph, probably caramel het amel.. but not so sure.

Butter motleys normally about.. £55. but not sure on a visual caramel, £40 - 50 maybe.

it was just for future preferences. i am not getting another corn untill i find mmonty really. did have my eye on another corn before monty disapeared but know i am focusing on monty unless mum says to me do i want it. its a butter and just wanted to know wat to breed to it to get butter babies. sue sed that i should either get a caramle het amel or amel het caramel. i want an amel so i would have to get and amel het caramel. is thatk. if i breed a butter motley/stripe to an amel stripe het caramel would i get butter babies, along with amel babies and caramel babies.

Ah, gotchya.

Butter is a morph, its a combination of Caramel and Amel. For you to get any Butter hatchlings, both parents would need to have both Amel and Caramel, such as another Butter.
