Posted - 26/07/2009 : 23:40:56 6 babies have hatched today and there are plenty of healthy-looking eggs so I expect more in the morning. I need to sell them or give them away for free. Could someone please advise me on what I can do with them. I live in West London.
Thanks! |

No, sorry. Lavender is a different gene, although it does look like a very pale Anery it is not the same. |

Posted - 01/08/2009 : 14:16:08 sorry for all the questions...but...I saw a lavender morph so if it changed colour would it be called a different morph? |

Posted - 01/08/2009 : 14:02:38 Its definately possible...its called line breeding. Breeders keep back certain snakes with patterns, colours in hope to breed them back to the parents to get lighter, darker, increase a certain pattern etc... in the offspring. |

Posted - 01/08/2009 : 13:39:48 But is that because she had a snow father i.e. has his colour made her paler and if she bred with a snow would her baby anery be even paler? |

Posted - 01/08/2009 : 12:39:35 Its a Anery motley...just a light coloured one... |

It may not be as obvious by the pictures but the youngster is much paler and has got the fatter she as become. She as a pinky hue to her tale and to the circular sections too whereas her mother is more silvery grey in these areas. |

Posted - 01/08/2009 : 12:04:47 I kept one of the anery snakes from last year because it had a kink in its spine. It has the same pattern as the female but is much lighter with almost a slight lavender tone to it. What would this colour be known as. The mother and father are the same as this new batch. I will not be letting them breed again! |

Posted - 01/08/2009 : 11:11:45 It means that your Anery carries 1 Amel gene (you need 2 for it to be visual), and it has passed this gen down to some of the babies (the snows). |
