Posted - 12/07/2009 : 19:53:44 Hi My female snake has successfully laid 1 clutch of 19 eggs. They have now mostly hatched, but I can now feel more eggs inside her and think she is gravid again. My male and female snakes are always in the same vivarium since I got the female about 6 months ago. My worry is, will she lay more than 2 clutches?? I have heard that it is dangerous for the female to lay 3+ clutches, and could lead to serious health problem, and maybe death. Is it true that they can lay more than 2 clutches, or not?? If it is, what shall I do?? Thanks. |

Posted - 13/07/2009 : 16:09:08 Thanks, I have made an agreement with the local reptile shop to swap 9 babies for 2 3ft second hand vivs, so I can split them. At least then I will have 1 spare to buy another reptile!! |

BUT it you don't want eggs then the obvious answer would be to split them up!! |
