I've had two locks with the pair I was planning to breed this year. The female is huge, refusing to eat and is already blue so hopefully lots of eggs on the way |

Posted - 14/01/2014 : 22:02:42 I'm hoping for some good luck and that my male's phs (charcoal and amel) are proven.
If that happens *and* I'm very lucky, I could get a whiteout If not, I might get some fires, diffused, amels and normals or if he has neither, it'll be just diffused and normal .
If he is het for both his possible hets, then I could get Pewters, blizzards and possibly a whiteout!!! Everything is crossed! All my females are het charcoal or possibly het charcoal and he is my only male who could be carrying it... eek.
This year is going to tell me whether my future breeding plans are possible or not!
Plus I'll be waiting to find out if my very bright 'normal' female which many people (including eeji) have said 'could' be a poor quality hypo is infact a normal or a hypo. (my male is a hypo diffused). |

Posted - 12/01/2014 : 17:16:54 I don't brumate mine so they follow the natural winter/breeding season cycles. They seem to be ready at about April, so much later than ones which are brumated |

Posted - 12/01/2014 : 15:56:32 As said, too early in the season really. You should warm up for a month really to give them a chance to begin the proper ovulation cycles. Most people begin getting locks Feb/March. |
