Good news everyone, put Sakana and Cereus together tonight and he's been so interested that she didn't get time to show off for him, he was straight in there(literally) and has been twice in the past 25 minutes lol. Here's hoping to some eggs in the near future

Well good luck to getting some eggies :) What an unfortunate area to get a splinter. Ouch :S But atleast he is fine now. :)

my sterling is like that show him a female and he is on her back before she knows it lol

All is good on the snake front They'll be going back to their own vivs tonight as they've been going almost non-stop since Tuesday morning - Including waking me up banging about the viv trying to catch each other XD. Will I be best putting them back together next week for another mating spree or will this have been enough? I'm not all too sure as I've heard some people say "Put them together for a few days every week till she stops being interested" and some say "They only need putting together for one week and that will be the job done" so I'm confuzzled lol. You'l probably all know that last time they mated nothing came of it and they locked ALOT... I think this may have been her weight but now she has gone down to a healthy weight she could take better do you think? Or could I have a sterile female/male?

aww how sweet lol
AcidicAngel Posted - 17/04/2013 : 12:49:31
Yup. The thing is, by stereotyping men to be the addicts and females to always have a headache - I have a very randy female XD She's constantly showing off for him and trying to get him in the mood and now he's in the mood she's happier than ever lol.
mrsbunt Posted - 17/04/2013 : 10:50:03
typical man lol
AcidicAngel Posted - 17/04/2013 : 03:44:23
Ah it didn't seem to bother him too much and he was good about having it taken out(very gently I must add!) but as soon as he went back in with her they were at it again so he must have been happier to have it gone lol.

Offending object removed from his vent, it was a splinter that he'd somehow got from Sakana's wooden hide. I wouldn't put it past them to have mated on to of the hide with how they were since they mated in the waterbowl last night at some point XD

Giggity!

Thanks everyone, not sure on hatchlings as Sakana is Hypo ph Lavender, Anery and Cereus is a Butter with unknown(if any) hets. I do have a concern about Cereus this morning though...
I picked him up out of Sakana's viv this morning and felt something stick into my hand, thinking it was a loose scale as he's due a shed soon I thought nothing of it. Then he wrapped round my hand and revealed this... I've absolutely no idea what it is. My first thought was maybe a piece of substrate after breeding in Sakana's viv last night but it's not loose and doesn't seem to bother him when you touch it. My second thought I'd rather not think... And that was maybe part of one of his hemipenes had gotten stuck out and dried up...
Sorry if the pics are huge. I have re-sized them.
