Right so when my corns were living together back in 2012(May '12-Jan/Feb '13) they were fine until about November '12 when Cereus started wanting to breed but Sakana wasn't all too happy about it. He managed to hold her and they locked a good 6 times between November and December. I've now got them separate. I've always added a laying box when Sakana goes into blue just in case it's a pre-lay shed and never had anything from her. Now that they are separate and my intention is to breed them I have a problem. My female is giving all the signs, she shed 2 weeks a go and so I added the male straight after. Well he ignored her, went and hid and wouldn't come out till I took the hide out. Poor gal looked lost. They were supposed to be in cooling right now but when I went out today my mum handled both of them and turned Sakana's light on despite me telling her not to. Here's my question. Anyone have any tips for getting Cereus in the mood apart from starting over with the cooling? I've been told to try another male corns freshly shed skin to make him think there's another male in there but I have no immediate acess to a fresh skin He did shed 2 days a go so I used his skin today. I tried them together since they were warmed up and active and threw in his skin. They were both interested in it and they both started twitching when they touched each other but then he snapped out of it and went and did the same as before. Any ideas at all?

Haha, Donnie - I tried the Barry White XD They weren't too keen

Thanks for the reassurance, may just be that I keep thinking it's later in the year than it actually is lol. I keep thinking it's May already.

wouldn't worry yet, just because they haven't yet doesn't mean they won't.

Might just need a bit more time. It's still early in the breeding season.
The twitching is a good sign.
