Which thermostat would you recommend for use in a home-made snake egg incubator?
Do you think it's best to have a mat-stat or a pulse-stat?
Thanks for your help, as always!

I got it from Surrey pet supplies and no it wasn't cheap (£130 each I think ) but I think it should be worth it. Each stat will control 2 vivs and I can set the temp to ramp up in the morning to reach peak temp at about lunch time and then cool down gradually for a night time temp drop (the 2 vivs it will be controlling can be set to completely different temps and times) and it will also have some lights plugged into it that will be timed to give a day and night cycle. It can do other things as well and all controlled from a PC or from the stat itself but those are the main functions I bought them for. God I spoil my carpets

Thanks eeji. I've already got the pulse on order but will consider one of the new ones when I need to update some of my other old stats.

If you do want a new digital stat in the future I think this will be the one to get

I have not got mine setup yet but my viv builds are going full steam ahead so I can use them

mats = mat stats / pulse / some dimmers
bulbs = dimmers
ceramic = dimmer / pulse can also be used

pulse = ceramic
dimming = light emitting bulbs
