Posted - 24/06/2012 : 16:59:15 my 28 hatchlings are quite a bit smaller than my other females 16 i had a few months ago. your hatchling was strong enough to make it out of the egg so it's probably o.k. if you think it realy won't be able to eat a small pinkie you can feed it just a pinkie head |

Posted - 23/06/2012 : 16:41:18 Hi all i have a snake that has hatched but it is very small and thin compared to the others. Will it be ok and if so wot would i feed it as a pinky is going to be way to big. |

Posted - 22/06/2012 : 15:31:52 You could go to your local pet shop and ask them for empty cricket boxes - the one near to me gave me 10 for free give em a clean out with reptile safe disinfectant and they will be fine good thing is they've already got air holes for the snakies |

Posted - 21/06/2012 : 23:14:11 my preference is to seperate them, makes it easier to see who has shed etc. |

Posted - 19/06/2012 : 12:19:22 My first one pipped after 85 days this year, so you may still have a way to go sinking inwards is perfectly normal, its the snake absorbing the contents of the egg.
Most of mine looked quite unhealthy but all but 3 have hatched now and are doing fine :)
Good luck, and keep us updated |

Posted - 18/06/2012 : 20:10:00 wouldn't bother with the torch. if your eggs are on day 70 and still look healthy i don't think you have anything to worry about. |

Posted - 18/06/2012 : 20:05:11 we were told to shine a torch to them so did this but could not see any movement |

Posted - 18/06/2012 : 20:00:13 perfectly normal, some will sink as the the snake inside the egg is absorbing the yolk. they should be out soon |
