Hi i have my first lot of corn snake eggs and they have been incubated now for 55 days. We read about shining a light through them to see if they were alive which we have done and can see veins in every egg but we have not seen any movement. Is this right that we are unable to see movement or would we have lost them all.

Any news on the mould did the athlets foot spray work
QueenVic Posted - 06/06/2012 : 12:45:13
Yeah ive heard a lot of people do it to keep the mould at bay. Just use a small amount on a cotton bud like marc said.
Might not get rid of the mould entirely but it should keep it under control

Is this ok to do?

and dont worry if they take longer than 65 days to hatch.
mine are on day 75 I think it is today, and still nothing! lol

Thanks this is our first time breeding so will take them to a qualified person.
gmac Posted - 03/06/2012 : 22:20:10
you take them to someone who knows how to pop a hatchie ;), as you asked im assuming you dont know howto and also suggest you dont try to learn how from youtube. If its done incorrectly it will damage the snake

helen Posted - 03/06/2012 : 21:57:54
Thanks very much ur a star x
gmac Posted - 03/06/2012 : 21:55:57
perfect temps, would just leave them be to hatch which shouldnt be all that much longer
helen Posted - 03/06/2012 : 21:54:43
Thanks for that the eggs are very white but i do have a couple that look alittle mouldy but they do seem to have signs of veins in them. Is there anything else i need to do or just leave them? The temp in the incubator is around 28 degrees.

you dont generally see any movement, usual incubation eriod is anywhere from 55 days to 65 even longer at times. If the eggs look ok they probably are ok.
