Posted - 16/05/2012 : 19:36:35 next time i'd take them off her sooner, the sooner there in an incubator at the right temp and humidity the better. if they started turning a darkish brown they sound like they may not have been fertile. |

Posted - 16/05/2012 : 19:22:18 Maybe. But shes really depressed. It was her first batch, and for a while, I left them with her. She seemed to really want to take care of them. Then they started turning a darkish brown so I put them in the incubator....then they cooked :( |

Posted - 16/05/2012 : 17:27:34 sorry to hear that. not all females double clutch, but a lot do so you could still end up with some eggs this year |

Posted - 14/05/2012 : 18:57:31 I think you mean clumos haha :) But yeah I should have mentioned that. I wish espher would lay them so they were seperate. I think itd be easier to monitor them, I always worry about the bottom eggs! |

Posted - 14/05/2012 : 18:45:12 There are a few threads if you do a search. But really they should be creamy white not yellow, and they should stick together in a clumo after they are laid.
Infertile are yellow and firm.
Also, if you get a smalk torch and shine it through the egg a fertile one will have lots of pink veins, infertile wont and will have a yellow tinge to them.
If you could post some pics we will be able to let you know if they are fertile :)
Hope that helps |
