I'm not too sure if it's a standard charge or if it differs from vetinary surgery to vetinary surgery. A little phone call to your trusted vet to enquire would be the way to research the price for deffinite I would think.

yeah would not be this year, would wait to see his females, and i never knew about mucrochiping. is it expensive?

If you do look into this further, ask about medical histories of his snakes etc. as you can't know if they're in a good enough health for breeding if this is a stranger.
The microchipping is a very good idea.

if i was loaning a snake i'd be inclined to have it microchipped first..........and not neccessarily tell the person i was loaning it to.

that way you can prove it's definitely yours should something untoward happen. unless the snake has significantly identifiable markings and they're documented/photographed

lending a friend a snake......yeah no problem (depending who you are!)
lending a complete stranger a snake.......wouldn't recommend it!

The first thing that I would be concerned about would be the lack of quaranteen. Ideally you need to quaranteen any new snake for a few months before they come into contact with any others. The fact that you don't know anything about this other person, the husbandry he uses for his snake, or the health of the female would make me say that it is not a good idea.

I'd want to go see the female first, and get to know the people better, as I'd be ever so worried about them running off with it. But I'm a paranoid person haha xD
