Posted - 25/05/2011 : 07:48:44 It looks like all Umas eggs are slugs but we still have the 3 of them that looked ok just incase but it doesnt look promising on the up side she has just eatten a mouse she was so hungry it was gone in under a minute which we are really happy about as she hasnt eatten in months and lost loads of weight that we thought we were going to lose her. Is this normal for her to just lay eggs every year without being mated because if it is we were thinging of getting all the proper equipment and mating her properly next year so could we get some advice on this please? |

Thanks, we have been looking into breeding before she laid eggs as its something we would love to do but it might even be a couple more years yet as we want to get our snakies all into proper vivs and insured |

Posted - 25/05/2011 : 07:58:46 it's common without being 'the norm' if you see what i mean some snakes might get well into their teens then suddenly drop a clutch of slugs, some might lay some as soon as they're physically mature enough to, and some will never leave you any surprise presents just because it's happened once certainly doesn't mean it will happen again and i'd advise you to think very carefully before deliberately breeding her |
