Posted - 27/02/2011 : 19:33:36 i use vermiculite with the eggs half buried with a layer of damp sphagnum over the top. Feeding is done after the first shed which is usually a week-ish after hatching. Don't worry too much if they don't take this first feed, some will go a few weeks before eating because they are still going on the egg yolk. |

Posted - 27/02/2011 : 10:23:20 you can use a variety of stuff to incubate, sphagnum moss, vermiculite, or perlite. those are the most common things to use. tissue wont hold the moisture well enough, and compost holds it a little too well. As long as you can get the water/medium ratio about right to maintain as close to 100% humidity as possible. |

Posted - 27/02/2011 : 10:09:33 I always heard that sphagnum moss was the best to use. As for feeding, You should wait until after the first shed. |
