Posted - 25/05/2010 : 23:28:08 Hi James, welcome to the forum. Well what can I say, except here is the link to my orginal post regarding pre buying advice last year, loads of questions and loads of answers.

Then a couple more for a revised buying list
http://www.thecornsnake.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=5799 http://www.thecornsnake.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=5964 Aplogies for the length of these posts, they are extensive, but LOADS of info in there to get your teeth into. When it comes to RUBs and Fauns, well I have only used a RUB for my Geerbils playbox, but I use the Faun for my Elijah. I also use Aspen for the substrate, but if you don't mind a sterile envorinment, then paper towel is the preferred method.

Posted - 24/05/2010 : 23:57:12 RUBs (Really Useful Boxes) aren't really recommended for very small corns because they can get caught in the tiny gaps between the tub and the lid unless you use a layer of card inside the lid. There have been several reports of young corns dying due to this :( |

Posted - 24/05/2010 : 23:30:44 It is advised that for a hatchling you use a faunarium or RUB, as they are very good escape artisits and it is much harder to escape from one of these than it is from a viv with glass sliding doors.
