My reggie goes off his food before he even goes dull. I think last time he didn't for 18 days up untill the day after he shed. |

Posted - 27/04/2010 : 04:47:17 I tend to agree with Danny, Aaran, although as he says it is purely down to your own personal preference.
If Harley is overdue a feed and you are getting the mice today then you may as well feed him today, unless you have a very specific reason for keeping him to a set schedule. Harley has no concept of routine or when to expect a feed, so you wont be upsetting him by feeding him as soon as you get the mice.
Their schedule changes as they grow, from 5 days to weekly to 10 days to fortnightly, so does it really make that much difference feeding him today instead of waiting until he is next due a feed? I know it probably wont make too much of a difference, but he is a youngster and I know that personally I am always happier knowing my snakes arent going hungry.

Posted - 26/04/2010 : 20:07:59 In the wild they wouldn't have a routine so its completely upto personal prefference. I would probably feed mine with them only being young. If they were older i might have left them untill they were next due. |

Posted - 26/04/2010 : 18:11:08 That's up to you. If you have a set routine, that you want to stick to, he could wait until the normal day. However, if you're concerned about him waiting he can be fed as soon as you get the mice. Hope that helps... |
