I ask this question more out of curiosity than anything

is there any alternative foods for corns other than mice
I read somewhere that fertilised quails eggs were ok as a treat
just curious if there is any variety for them other than mice

Many rat snake species will eat eggs, but they wont spit out the shell like true eggs eaters.

Mice and rats mainly as they have all the nutritional value that they need.

Day old chicks can be given but is pointless if your snake feeds on mice or rats as chicks have much less nutritional value.

I believe young corns also eat small lizards and frogs although im not so sure about eggs.

I thought the only snake that ate eggs was the egg eating snake.

Rats, hamsters, gerbils that kinda thing. Lizards and frogs too.

Chicks although I don't see any point in giving them one to be honest. I have no idea about eggs as I have no idea about the nutritional value. I imagine they eat what ever they come across in the wild.

I would just stick to the rodents though as it's safer, more available and cheaper but I am curious to know what my snakes would do with a different prey item.
