when you feed a snake a large mouse or something with a big tail, what happens to it, cuz shorly once the actuall mouse is in the stomach their isn't much room so the tail must stick out the stomach shorly?
advice? |

Posted - 12/04/2010 : 07:23:47 Well in Venoms case the had would be the thing that sticks out of the stomach since he seems to have a habit of striking and eating the wrong way round bless him XD. I imagine it all goes into the stomach and if not, it soon would once the snake has digested the rest of the mouse.
Would regurgitating be when the whole mouse can't fit in the stomach so starts to rot meaning the mouse is too big for the snake? |

Posted - 12/04/2010 : 04:06:49 I think that the tail is squeezed down into the stomach just as the rest of the mouse is.
I know that when Silvesta regurged there was one partially digested mouse that was pink, smaller than it was originally and the ears, tail and paws were gone. The other mouse was barely touched and was literally squeezed into a long thin snake shape!

Posted - 11/04/2010 : 13:33:37 How long is a snakes stomach?
Im sure if you googled it you would come up with an answer but when you feed a snake 2 prey items, wether it be 2 pinkies or 2 large mice, if they regurge one of them is normly partially digested or even near untouched whilst the other if there is another regurged is much further in to the digestion process.
I don't know wether i would word it as hanging out of the stomach but rather that they jsut work there way down to be digested. |
