Im sure the "thing" sitting in Missy's viv is not Missy!! She shed overnight between the 29th and 30th no problems. Well it was feeding day yesterday, Missy just was not intrested.

I was feeding in the viv's as I was not feeling great and could not be bothered to drag them all out! they have been fed in there viv's before so I know they will eat in there.

Well I left Missy's in with her and covered the viv. A while later I could hear her tail going mad, so I looked in. she was hissing and stiking at them mouse! So I though ok, its obvously stressing her so I went to take it out, Then she turns on me! (missed though) after half hour I finally got the mouse out, then left her alone.

Few hours later I took the towel off the viv, and she was tail rattaling at me and all I done was moved the towel! So I put it back and left her for the night.

Looked in on her this morning and she was laying out of her hide and down the side of her viv with a look on her face as if to say, go near me I WILL GO FOR YOU!!

im gonna leave her be for a few days and see if she calms down, i cant see any obvious problems, temps are fine, no mites in water dish no signs of RI. Im thinking she is just being a typical moody female?? I just hope she snaps out of it, I want my Missy back

I was talking to my mate on the phone, and she said she sees it alot, as she is a breeder. She said she has noticed if you use the hand sanitiser that has alcahol in it, that can cause it or if you have ben drinking, its the smell or taste that sets them off. I do use the sanitiser and she said if I had used a little more than last time? Used it alot during the day? It could have built up on my skin, thus causing the reaction! I had used It it more than normal as I had been handaling raw meat that day, and i use it after washing my hands. Its the only thing that makes sence really.
She never did take the mouse, so she can wait till next week now

Lucien was exactly the same the other day with me.. hes never ever gone for anyone in the past..not even after his free roam of the house but when i went to feed him the other day he was rattling his tail and going insane.. he did eat though but when i put the lid on his faun he jumped a mile and i couldnt move the faun for an hour as he just kept rattling and launching himself at the plastic..
honestly have no idea what caused it..only thing we can think of is that the last shed he had was awful..only 3inches came off by itself so we are hoping that its just a bit of a fear of being handled to be dunked in a bath again..

hope missy calms down

No idea what is going on with her Paula, and know that stress and worry about her is the last thing you need at the moment.

If you can handle it, maybe try feeding her again in a few days time, feed her in a RUB by just putting her in it with mouse and covering it.

I do wonder what would have happened had you left mouse in - would she have realised that it was dead and food?

Am sorry I am being so useless , wish I had the right answers. Maybe it is just a case of being that time of year....as it is with the males??

Dinner encroached on her territory.

Hope she chills and realises it is dinner soon though.
