congrats on the new arrival may i ask why you have a night light for him?
It is likely not for the snake, it is probably cause Shaun is scared of the dark
you know me so well x
Its actually better to either have a light on in the day and turn it off in the night or not have a light, that way you can simulate day and night time.
As for the temps a mat with a stat will be plenty sufficient. its just there to add a few extra degrees c if needed at night and it dose get pretty dark so i can keep an eye on him

As Kellogg said now that he has warmed up may be best to drop the temps below 30, between 27-29 is ideal.
I've got to say though by the size of the hide i though you would be getting an adult snake lol, well atleast he has a bit of growing room now hehe. |

Posted - 24/03/2010 : 10:10:57 So pleased for you Shaun, and pleased that Mort has warmed up and is feeling happy enough to slither around. Would suggest you drop temp now to below 30 as you dont want him to overheat. Now he has warmed up he can move about from the warm end to the cool as he wants to.
He looks gorgeous, lovely strong colouring. Looking forward to seeing more pics of him.
