Posted - 19/02/2010 : 09:37:43 LOL I had a near miss last night. I fed Colin but he just sniffed round the mouse but didnt eat it so I stuck my hand in and went to take the mouse off him and he gave my hand "the look" so I thought best leave him alone lol |

Posted - 18/02/2010 : 23:20:42 Haha. The shock is worse than the pain though. I'd feed him/her first & handle after 48hrs as sexychef said. Good luck!
It may help, if your not already, when changing the water each day to grab a small handful of aspen (or whatever substrate you are using) and squeeze it in your hand for a few seconds and return it to the viv. This will quickly get your scent into the viv and the snake will learn your scent and as he learns, he will begin to understand no threat comes from you and your "smell". |
